Pneumonia Symptoms in Newborn Children
The clinical symptoms of pneumonia (pneumonia symptoms) can be difficult to see especially in newborn children. It is found in babies and children include :
- Usually higher fever,
- Often also vibration frost,
- Fast and flat breathing,
- High heart frequency,
- Abdominal distension,
- Cough, often with greenish or yellow sputum,
- Drinking pain and decreased food intake,
- Chest or abdominal pain, especially when coughing,
- Arranged nostrils by inhalation (nose-wing-breathe),
- Symptoms of meningitis (brain skin inflammation), and lethargy (apathy) can occur concomitantly.
Pneumonia Diagnosis in Infants or Children
For the diagnosis of pneumonia (pneumonia diagnosis) in the infant or child the following actions are required :
- Detailed survey of medical history by parent,
- Physical investigation, the pneumonia diagnosis can often be had by listening to the breath sounds (rattles),
- Chest X-ray of the lung,
- Creating a bacterial culture from the sputum and, or blood
- Increased signs of inflammation in the blood.
